After trekking the mountains of Cuba in December 2013, Annie O'Leary became "totally transfixed by its resilient and resourceful people, its revolutionary history, culture and landscape."
On her return to the UK she was inspired to raise funds for the children and young people of Cuba through the Music Fund for Cuba.
She decided to take part in a number physical challenges in 2014 to raise funds. In April she ran the Shakespeare Half Marathon (fundrasing target £500) in a time of 2hrs 39mins. In October she will run the Birmingham Half Marathon (fundraising target £500) and shortly after travel to Cuba to cycle 40 kms per day over 16 days around the coast (fundraising target £500).
"Real challenges remain for people living in Cuba so I would very much value your support" says Annie.
