Celebrate the arrival of summer with Ran Kan Kan!Get down to classic Cuban songs in Son, Mambo, Cha Cha Cha and Latin Jazz styles from Oxford's 20 piece Cuban big band.Led by singers, Pancho Vera and Melisa Akdogan, and a dazzling array of horns, flutes, guitars, piano and percussion, this passionate music will win your heart and move your feet.Our guest Latin DJ, Toledano, will be keeping it suave and caliente all night long with salsa and other Latin dance tunes.
Ran Kan Kan were born in 2011 from a meeting of Oxford-based brass, Latin percussion and Cuban music fanatics. They labour with love and respect to bring you classic songs from the golden age of Cuban Big Bands.
Ran Kan Kan have enthralled and inspired audiences in a series of gigs at OFS, which tend to sell out shortly after doors open. You are advised to buy tickets in advance.
Proceeds from the night will go to the the Music Fund for Cuba supporting education, music and the performing arts in Cuba.
