More than 120 people packed into The Albert Pub on Victoria Street to battle it out in the trivia stakes and win an evening of karaoke with Tom.
The proceeds of the event went towards fundraising for three Music Fund Cuba Cycle Challengers.
Ian Mearns MP, Kerry McCarthy MP and Mark Seddon called the raffle. Prizes included a bottle of Havana Club, a copy of Tom Watson’ autobiography and a bag full of Cuban goodies such as books, chocolate and coffee.
Teams from across the Labour movement participated. There was a particularly strong Unite contingent who formed at least 5 of the 22 teams.
The quiz raised almost £1500. It was a great evening of fun and an enjoyable way for people to get involved and show solidarity with Cuba.
Congratulations to the winners of the evening: Tom Watson’s Tank Top.
